Played as a Ravenclaw (despite being a Slytherin) because I wanted to see how they modeled the common room. I could fly around that map on my broomstick all day, though I do wish you could curse enemies as you fly by. Hogwarts is fucking beautiful, loved exploring the castle, even if finding all the field guide pages was a ball ache. I managed it, just, I was down to my last wigenweld, but it wasn't fun. The only real attack you have is ancient magic, but the fight doesn't give you opportunities to refill your meters, so by the time you get to the last stage, you're fucked. I hate it when games force you to play things in a certain way. They slow fights down trying to hit the right combination of spells perfectly, and then half the time they don't even work. I've completed the game and done everything save the fucking duelling feats, I've not even completed the fourth tier. One-shotting trolls with Avada Kedavra by the end was fucking satisfying, though.įuck the duelling feats. Some of those hamlets, I felt like I was playing Skyrim or something, and no one questions you breaking into their homes and pilfering their belongings.Ĭombat was pretty fun, though in the heat of battle I would often forget where I aligned certain spells and would accidentally try and cast repairo on an enemy mid fight. Really enjoyed most of it, though a lot of it felt like a generic fantasy RPG rather than directly Harry Potter/Wizarding World related. It was bad enough hearing them scuttle about. Firstly, thank fuck for Arachnophobia Mode, was not prepared for the number of spiders and definitely would not have been able to continue had they looked like spiders.
